Communication error on local PC when installing Sage 200 Professional Client

When installing Sage 200 client on local PCs i recieve the following error:

I have read that this could be due to the certificate not being on the local PC, however i have since copied the certficate to the PC and i still get the same error message.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I am sure it is going to be a network issue as the Sage 200 client runs form profiles signing into the server, just not when it is on a local PC. :(

as the message states there is no endpoint listening, and you say its working on the server, then this is probably firewall.

There is a list of ports that need to be open on the sage server in the installation guide.

But turning the firewall off completely and testing the connection will prove if this is the case

    Mollie,

Check the Windows Firewall setting to ensure that the relevant ports are open.  A quick way to find if it is the firewall would be to temporarily disable it (if you have the rights to do this).  Be aware that this could leave your PC exposed, albeit temporarily, to outside 'influence' unless you have a hardware firewall on the network.

    Mollie,

Check that your client PC is on the domain network and hasn't 'dropped' back to a public or private network.  You can check this through the Windows Firewall screen.

You got also try uninstalling Sage 200, renaming the 2.0 folder to 2.0.old within in the following location C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local\Apps and then re-installing the Sage 200 client.

Thank you this seemed to have worked. I am not sure what firewall settings are incorrect though as i have set them up per the Sage 200 Installation guide...
