The HMRC gateway is currently returning errors when VAT Returns are submitted, in Sage 50cloud Accounts this may result in the error message:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

We've requested an update from HMRC, in the mean time we advise customers to try again later.

Update - HMRC have reported that this issue is now resolved.
