Question Answer Article link
Do you still have to input the data into Sage?  If you create a rule, transactions are created automatically, otherwise yes the data needs to be input into Sage 50 Accounts
Is there the ability to set up rules for payments from charitable funds? Not yet no, this is under consideration for a future version.
Is the upgrade to 29.2 limited to Bank Feeds or are there other major changes. This is because we integrate with a third party software program? The most significant other feature is generating a purchase order from a sales order, as 29.2 is a "non major" release 3rd party applications will continue to function.
Do existing bank rules carry forward into the new version? Yes.
Is there any developments on paying same day payments from Sage? As this is one area I find very restrictive. Our Salary and Supplier Payments add on pays suppliers using Faster Payments within 90 seconds. Salary and Supplier Payments
Are there any plans to bring in auto allocation of Customer Receipts and Supplier Payments or will we always have to manually allocate them once downloaded from the bank feed? It depends on whether or not the Customer Receipts / Supplier Payments exist already in Sage 50 Accounts. If they do, yes, manual allocation will be required. If not, the allocation can happen when the customer receipt or supplier payment is created within Bank Feeds via the create option.
Can I link my bank account now to the bank feed but not start using the bank feeds activity until the sage update is completed? You can link your bank account now, but you will see the process as it stands currently, and not what Abby has shown on the demo today, as bank feeds has been in the software since v22. You might decide to connect once the new update has been installed, what you will see then will then be what's been covered in the demo today.
Each transaction takes up a lot of space meaning that the screen displays very few at a time; can this be changed? At the moment each transaction takes up one line on the screen meaning that the screen displays lots of transactions, like 20 or more. I'm now seeing about 4 transactions at a time. The information on the tiles can be amended so they become smaller in height, depending on the amount of information you have chosen. You can easily scroll through the tiles to find the transaction you require and you can also enter a Search to find the relevant transaction.
Is it possible to only use the bank feeds for the bank receipts not the payments? You could ignore the payments but your bank balance would not reconcile.
Are there any plans to suggest bank receipts against outstanding sales invoices, like your competitors already have? In the new update, if the bank receipt transaction has not yet been entered in Sage 50 accounts, when the receipt from the bank is downloaded, you can manually create the receipt, at which point you are prompted with the Customer Receipt window where you can match to an outstanding invoice here.
Can I do a Bank Feed with PayPal Accounts? Yes
Is it possible to let me know if bank feeds works with Lloyds Commercial Banking? Currently you can check your bank / bank account compatibility via th article in the Article link column.  In the new update, you can do a search, if your bank account appears in the search, it is supported, if it doesn't, it's not. Compatibility
How do I connect a customers bank account You don't. It's your company bank account that connects to bank feeds.
