However you can use "User Management" in Settings to disconnect users and see who is logged in.

Unfortunately users are logging in after we are finished for the day and don't log out, disconnecting users after 6pm isn't an option.

It is possible to write import routines that run when users are logged in. If you are using Sage import routines, it may be possible to buy the ones written by Adept (www.adepttools.co.uk) and use them instead. They can run in the system tray and activate whenever a file is placed in a specified folder.
