Accounts 50 v24 ODBC --call failed Access 97

We recently tried to upgrade to Accounts 50 v24 (from v22) and discovered that the ODBC driver call from Access 97 no longer seems to work.

 

In every other upgrade I have gone to access tools, then linked table manger, and then select a 'new location' for the data.

Next I chose the ODBC driver, enter the username and password, then *normally* access refreshes the linked data. This has worked with every release of sage since we began using it in the early 2000s. However, with v24, I just get an ODBC call failed message.

 

We have tried 2 computers, different patches of v24, tried reinstalling the ODBC driver etc and nothing has worked. Googling, I can't find anyone else who has had the same issue, so posting here as a last attempt! Any ideas?

    This isn’t an issue we’re aware of. You could try reinstalling the Sage 50 Accounts v24 ODBC Installer directly. Both the Sage 50 Accounts v24 64bit ODBC Installer and the Sage 50 Accounts v24 32bit ODBC Installer are available to download here.
