Excel import is available into Sage, but presently only at system level. 

It would be helpful if Excel import were available at any and all of the forms levels. so eg when entering a journal all entries must be typed in (or chosen from the pick lists). Would it not be possible to allow import into this from from a CSV or Excel file? 

It is possible to set up 'journal' entries using the Excel import tool, but the transactions so imported lack many of the true characteristics of journals that have been entered natively into Sage 50. 

To enable import into the Journal form (or any other form) would be, so it seems to this layman, a simpler way to create robust and fully featured journal entries in Sage, than to enhance the system level Excel import tool to handle specific types of import.
