It's not possible to change the product and service codes as this will affect historical data, therefore the software doesn’t allow changes to these codes.

However, you can change the names of your product and service records. Any reports that you then run, will pick up the new name. The historical info such as transactions, etc. won’t be affected.

Editing the Product code should be made possible. Sage just need to add a unique master code (like a transaction code) and a historical product code change area. So this would show the historical path that this item has had.
