Process for Upgrading Sage 50 Accounts v20 to v24

SOLVED

Hi,

We are currently in the process of upgrading from Sage 50 (v20.04.09.364) to v24 and have a few questions.

1) Is there a recommended path to upgrade which includes data hosted on a DFS/File Server? I.e. is stepping through iterations recommended (v20-v21-v22-v23-v24) or is going directly from v20 to v24 a tried and tested path?

2) Is there any support documentation for the chosen upgrade path? (things to be aware of, known compatibility issues etc)

3) Is it possible to download a copy of v20.04.09.364 from the Sage website?

4) Does Sage 50 Accounts Database components work on Windows 2012 R2 (initial check says it does, but my IT would like to know if there is anything to be aware of).

Many thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Kind regards,
Michael.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for using our Product Support Community.

    1. You can upgrade from Sage 50 Accounts v20, directly to v24.
    2. You can find full info on how to prepare for and install Sage 50 Accounts v24 here.
    3. You can download your Sage 50 Accounts software from the following site, once you've logged in: https://my.sage.co.uk/downloads/. You can then download and install any update from our Sage Accounts update page.
    4. Sage 50 Accounts v24 is fully compatible with Windows Server 2012 R2 (except  Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials). You can find the system requirements for Sage Accounts software and how to check them here.
