SAGE 50 UPDATE V24 & MULTIPLE COPIES OF SAGE PROGRAMS IN THE APPS

When upgrading the current sage v23 the whole program stopped working so I downloaded the whole program from the website only to find that there are now 4 sets of sage programs in the apps section, Sage 50 (1), Sage 50(2), Sage 50 accounts service pacl v22, Sage accounts service pack v23 and 2 sets of Sage payroll programs. I am sure that this would cause conflicts when starting the programs. Surely only one copy should be saved?

Thanks for using our Product Support Community.

When downloading your Sage 50 Accounts software from our website, you may have a few different options to choose from under the Full downloads section.

Sage 50\50c Accounts v24 (2018) - Full Program is the latest full version of the software. This is the option that you should download and install.

I am aware of downloading the full program but what happens to the multiple copies of sage 50 and sage payroll programs in the registry of programs. The full download adds another copy of the sage program leaving the old copy where it is. Surely, the full download should fully delete any previous versions and install the fresh download thus showing 1 registered copy.
