Setting a Default Expiry date up on Customer Product Quotations SOP

SOLVED

Is there an option within Sage 50 which allows customer quotations that are entered on the system to automatically have a date set up for expiry date?

Within our company we set Customer Quotations up with a 3 month Expiry, is there a way we can implement this into the system, or does it have to be entered with every single quotation that is created?

This option would allow us to ensure that the sales team are entering quotations with the expiry.

If sage is unable to automatically put the expiry date in, is there a way in which we can set up a quotation to have this date entered before saving (Setting up as a required field)

    Hi Kirsty,

Thanks for using our Product Support Community.

When processing quotations in Sage 50 Accounts you can enter the date of expiry of the quote. Once the Expiry date passes, the status of the quote automatically changes to Expired.

When the expiry date of a quote passes, the status automatically changes to Expired. To change the status of an expired quote, you can open the quote and change the Expiry date.

This can currently only be done manually. It’s not currently possible to set the expiry date of the quote automatically. However, you can log this as a suggestion to improve our Sage Accounts software on our Ideas Community: https://communities.sage.co.uk/ideas/

To log your idea select Sage 50 Accounts and then Submit an idea.

Once logged, we’ll be able to use your idea and help us to shape your Sage software. Other customers will also be able to vote on your idea.

Thank you Paul, Posted as a suggestion.
Would be great if this can be set up automatically.

Is there a way in which the expiry date can be set up as a required field?
    Regards

    That's great.

It’s not currently possible to have the Expiry Date set as a required field either, sorry Kirsty.
