Missing VAT Returns

In late march, early April we did VAT returns for 3 companies and have the print outs that show what was done. Now when we go back to that company to run the next quarters VAT return the last one is missing.

Obviously we can't restore from our backups as that would overwrite all the data that's been put on since the last VAT returns were run. Is there any way to extract just the VAT returns from the backups so that we don't have to do them again?

Hi Kirsty.

Do you have any VAT returns at all showing in that VAT screen?

Is it the same for all 3 companies?

If you go to file > maintenance > check data, are any errors reported?

If you can try these steps in one of the companies.

Take a backup of your sage data.

Go to file > maintenance > reindex > select all > ok > yes.

When prompted, click compress now > compress > ok when complete > close.

If you then check the VAT screen again please.

Hi Yvette,

Although the issue in article 19257 is not the same issue you are having, I would advise following the steps on here as the solution to that issue may fix the problem you are having as well.
