We have seen this issue occur on some systems after running our latest update.

To fix this, please follow the below steps;

1. Close Sage 50 Accounts.
2. Press your Windows key + R and then enter %temp% and click OK .
3. Open the SageAccounts folder.
4. Open the v23Update1 folder and locate Sage50AccountsV23ReportDesigner.
5. Right-click Sage50AccountsV23ReportDesigner and click Uninstall.
6. Close the v23Update1 folder and open the v23Update2 folder.
7. Right-click Sage50AccountsV23ReportDesigner and click Install.

If you still have an issue after following the above steps, please let me know.

Hi Adam,
We are having the same issue and I have tried your fix but we do not have a v23update2 folder, only update1.
Is there another update we have not received? When I check from within the accounts package the message is 'There are no new updates your software is up to date' or something like that.
I look forward to receiving some assistance as my colleague has been hanging on the phone to Sage Helpline for over an hour!!

I've only got a v23Update2 folder, no Update1...

If you do not have some of the folders available in my previous reply, please ensure you are logged onto your PC as an administrator and Download the May 2017 Improvements Reporting Fix.

Save the above link to your desktop, then right-click it > Run As Administator.  Run the update by following the on screen prompts, then restart your machine and test the issue again.

If you still get the same problem, please let me know.

I'm getting a .bat file that opens an MS-DOS type window, there are no prompts with it.

The Reporting fix will only be a DOS prompt screen and the update will be installed automatically.

If you still have the problem after this, please Download the May 2017 Improvements Update. 

This download will be in .exe format and will include on screen prompts.

Thanks Adam - I've tried all of that, restarted and I'm left still with only Update2. Is there a way to uninstall the update completely?

The update will not show the folder to assist you with the original fix, rather it should fix the entire problem altogether.
