Foreign supplier & VAT

Does anyone have foreign suppliers and not the Sage add-on for foreign currency? We have just started using a new supplier in Germany. As this is a one-off supplier, we don't wish to purchase the add-on, but I do need the figures to show on the VAT return. Can anybody help?
