  • Do a need to update the Sage Data on our server for V23 or just the client PCs running Sage Accounts? We store our data separately on a server without Sage Accounts installed. Currently running V 22.1.10.394 on the server and PCs with the May update installed. Where do I find the update for Sage Accounts Data Service for V23 as opposed to the update for PCs running the full Sage Accounts program? Thanks
  • Hi Helen,

Sage Accounts uses a data service to control the flow of data. If you don't want to install Sage Accounts on the server that holds your accounts data, you must install the Sage Accounts Data Service on the server. To do this:

    1. On the server computer > click this link http://downloads.sage.co.uk/download/?did=1ad97a8e-9f7d-4def-8d31-24abca49c776 to download the Sage Accounts Data Service. Depending on your Internet browser, the file automatically downloads to your Downloads folder or you're prompted to save the file.
    2. If prompted to save the file > make a note of the file name > browse to where you want to save it, for example, the Windows desktop > Save.
    3. Locate and double-click the downloaded file > if an Open File - Security Warning window appears, to proceed with the installation, click Run.
    4. To complete the installation, follow the on-screen prompts.
