Hello,

The program will always open a new Excel Workbook to maintain the integrity of your existing Excel data.

As the program would not know where to export the data to on an existing sheet (for example it may overwrite existing data), for security reasons it will open up a blank Workbook to avoid these issues.

Thanks for your reply. That makes some sense. I want it to open a new workbook, but it is also opening a separate instance of Excel - this doesn't happen when you open a spreadsheet from an email, or an explorer window, or if downloading from a webpage, such as internet banking. So I wondered why Sage did this and whether it could be changed. It is just a little inconvenient, that's all.
