Recurring Entries Start-up Message - Access Denied

Hello, We have several recurring items and we have the auto-message appear on start-up asking if we would like to process them. We have 2 levels of user, the manager has access to everything, and I have access to purchases, invoices and orders (recurring entries option is selected/available). On start-up, when I select yes to process the recurring entries, I get the message "recurring entry access denied please contact your administrator". When selecting this start-up message to be switched on, we assumed that it would allow me to process the entries that I do have access to, however from getting the above message, we are now not so sure. Does anyone have a better idea of how this works? IE do you need access to everything (bank etc) for that start-up function to work?
  • Hi Abbey,

There are different types of recurring entries In Sage 50 Accounts.

It depends on the type of recurring entry you’re posting as to what you need access to.

Full info on how to set up and process recurring invoices and orders here.

Full info on how to set up and process bank and journal entries here.

  • Thank you for your response, however we know how to set them up and process them. It was the fact that the start-up message asking us to process recurring items works for my manager, but not for me.

We were wondering if it was because I didnt have access to all of the possible recurring entries (ie I do not have access to the bank or journal) as to why I couldnt use that function.
