Hi James,
You can use departments to group transactions and to monitor costs or assess the profitability of individual departments/shops/branches in your business. You can check these figures on a month by month basis as well as an annual basis.
Youâ€re still able to report on your business as a whole too, as normal.
If required, you can change the name from Department to something more applicable to your company, e.g. Pharmacies:
• Settings > Configuration > Custom Fields tab > Departments Label > enter the required title > Apply > Close.
To access the Department module, Company > Department.
The Department module is available in the Sage Instant Accounts Plus v14 and above, meaning you donâ€t need to upgrade to Sage 50 Accounts and pay for features you wonâ€t use.
