How are you trying to reduce the stock, e.g. Adjustment out, Clear Stock, etc?

Hi Paul - thanks for the reply.

I'm using Adjustment Out. Not all the lines are fully zero in the warehouse but are overstated on the computer but back orders/allocated stock is preventing me from correcting it. Sorry I did not make that clear in my original question.

Hi Mark,

Because you need the quantity allocated on the order to be in stock/free before you can complete the Sales Order, you can't reduce the product quantity to zero.

The only thing I would suggest would be to switch on negative stock via Settings > Company Preferences > Parameters.  However please click here to view our guide on this as there are some issues that can arise by using negative stock.

Thanks for your reply (and sorry to take so long in responding). I think I am going to have to unallocate the "back orders" - correct the stock and then re-create the back orders. That should keep me going for a while!

Any advice on how best to do this would be much appreciated.
