My programme crashes whenever I try and create a new nominal code, has any one else experienced this? and found a fix
I would call SAGE but but they said the waiting time is over an hour! what a joke
Hi Ricky
Thanks for using Sage City.
What is the full version number of Sage Accounts are you using? You can get this from going to Help and then About.
Can you try the same thing in demo data for me? You can do this by going to File > Open > Demo Data. Login is manager (with no password)
If it doesn’t happen in Demo Data can you do a check data in your company for me. You can do this by going to File > Maintenance > Check Data. Let me know if you have any errors.

Hi Ricky.
Did the same thing happen in demo data?
Also, can you let me know how many errors, warnings and comments are reported in check data in your own company please.
Additionally, can you let me know which username you use to login to your own company data please.

no errors, data is clean. what is strange is it works in demo mode but not on our own data whether I am logged in as a user or manager
The error message is SBDDesktop.exe has stopped working
Hi Ricky.
Thanks for the additional information. Log in to your data as manager username > go to settings > access rights > new > set up a new username called Test with no password > ok > close.
Then go to file > log off > enter Test as the username and leave the password blank > ok. Try create a new nominal code and let me know if you have the same issue please.

Same issue and error code
Hi Ricky.
Can you go to Help > About > under Program Details section, tell me the Data Directory please.
If you also take go to file > maintenance > recovery tools. Take a backup when prompted. Once in recovery tools, click reindex and compress all. Once complete, close recovery tools and check data again to make sure no errors have appeared > close.
Try create a nominal code again please.
