After attending one of the Sage roadshows for MTD yesterday we feel that it would be easier for one of our clients who we do all the bookkeeping for at our offices on Sage50 Desktop version using one of our licences to have bank feeds, however the set up of this looks to be grey'd out when we go to set it up. Is this something that isn't available on the accountant client manager version of this software?

    Hi Fiona,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

    The button will be disable if the bank account selected (example 1200) is marked as a cash register account, a Go Cardless account, a sage supply payments account, no bank is selected or not in live data (demo data).

    However Sage Bank Feeds is also a subscription feature and the client must have their own copy and serial number of Sage Accounts to register.

    Bank feeds entitlement

    Bank compatibility

    To check if your bank account is compatible with the Bank feeds service, see our list of supported banks.

    Software entitlement

    Bank feeds is available if you have Sage 50cloud Accounts or Sage 50 Accounts subscription v22 and above. It's also available if you have one of the following Sage support contracts:

    Sage Cover Extra (UK)

    Sage Cover Premium (UK)

    Essential Cover Plus (ROI)

    Essential Cover Expert (ROI)

    Accountants and Bookkeepers - You have access to Bank Feeds if you are a member of the Accountant / Bookkeeper Network and have a valid contract.

    As I have Bookkeeper network on my invoice, does this not entitle me to have access to this feature?

    Hi Fiona,

    This feature is available as part of the client manager providing you have an active subscription with us but you wouldn't be able to give copies of the software out to your client, they would need to buy there own.

    Thank you, I don't want to give copies of the software to my client, my client isn't any good at this kind of things, I just want to be able to take me laptop to meet her so we can sit down together to set up the band feeds so I'm not chasing her for months on end for bank statements we never receive to complete to her accounts.
