Attempting to load a saved filter and implement but Sage is insisting on including a previously used filter as well as the saved filter and the clear button is not working after upgrade to V26.2. Any ideas on how to rectify this?

Are you meaning the clear button in the filter window? or the clear button next to search? Is this also happening to just specific users or all users?
If you go to file > open > Open demo data
Login with Username: Manager - Password: leave empty
This will allow you into the demo data if you do exactly the same in this demo data do you get the same result? If so this would be a program issue, if not then it looks like its something in your data and we can advise the next steps after this.
To then get back to your company data, just go to File > Open > Open Company data, and log in with your normal logins.

You're welcome if this also happens in the demo data then its not localised to just one data-set. What this would mean is then an uninstall and reinstall of Sage on this PC.
If you have Sage on another PC before doing this test the issue also on that PC does the issue follow the user?
You can uninstall Sage 50 Accounts using Windows. We recommend you take an all files backup before uninstalling.
Uninstalling using this method removes the Sage software but leaves behind any files that could be common to other software.

It is happening to other users on other PC's
So I have spent the last couple of hours uninstalling reinstalling Sage only for the issue to still be present. Guessing then this is a program error any idea when i maybe fixed?

What i would do at this point is to contact our live support teams to investigate this further, from what you have said this is looking like its an issue in your data.
We have some files we will look at removing that store the search history and then run a reindex and compress of your data.
Usually this will fix the issue you seem to be having.
