Email Invoice Problems

SUGGESTED

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up Sage 50 Cloud to email invoices and statements directly to Customers.

I use Outlook365, which is set as my default email provider and I work with Outlook already open.

If I try to send an invoice by email, it comes up with an error saying "Unable to send all emails". "Error with the address [email protected] Unknown Error. Please check Windows Event Log for more details."

On the customer record, if I click the little box at the end of the Email1 box, it says "Cannot locate Email client software".

Could anyone help with this?

Many thanks

Paul

    Hi Paul,

That is correct, if working it should have the name of the MO software.

My advice would be to try again, making sure that it is Microsoft Office 32 bit, and ensuring that after you uninstall both Office and Sage, it must be Microsoft Office (32 bit) that is installed first, then Sage after.

Also make sure it is the full desktop version of Microsoft Office, not the app version.

Perhaps also making sure all updates on the computer have been applied, and restart the computer before reinstalling.

    Kind regards,

    Oli, Sage UKI.

I finally managed to get the 32 bit version installed. It still says Microsoft Office = n/a

I had decided to give up as I'll be getting a new laptop in a couple of weeks.  However today I realised I have Sage Add In in my excel and when I tried to email an invoice it worked fine.

All seems very strange, however it's working so I'm not complaining!

Many thanks for your help with this.
