I have no idea if this is the correct sub, please correct me if not.

I am a new user to Sage 50 Accounts and I am trying to setup our quotes / invoice / sales order / purchase order templates etc and I am really struggling to make my data fields work. I know some SQL so I thought it would a breeze but Sage doesn't seem to like SQL in it's usual form. I can't find any help online other than Sage's own FAQ and that's really unhelpful. If anyone here knows a bit about the Sage Report Designer and could give me a hand I'd really appreciate it!

My main issue right now is that I'm trying to get a "Net total" for the quote, i.e. the gross total - discount. I have the two data fields working correctly on their own but when I try to subtract one from the other you get crazy results.https://19216881.org/ https://1921681001.link/ https://19216801.digital/

Also, Sage's definitions of "net" and "gross" seem completely backwards to me, anyone else?
