Version 28 Issues - update ledgers

Recently updated a customer to v28.0.226.0 and they are experiencing a hang when running update ledgers and selecting preview - the preview window is unresponsive, and a large box with "Processing" and a moving progress bar appears. This does not clear. It seems the underlying posting has been completed, if you look at the accounts from another PC, the invoices are in the sales ledger.  The only way to clear the processing box is to force close the app via task manager.  Force closing the preview component does not work, you have to kill the whole app.

Unfortunately (for troubleshooting purposes) another machine on the network does NOT experience this problem and can update ledgers with the preview window closing as it should, and no processing message appearing.

Is this a known issue?  Any suggestions for resolving it?

    Does anyone have any further information on this please?

    We installed V28 and ran it perfectly for a full month and then it was like running through treacle. NOTHING changed from the first month of running to the second month of running.  There was no change to the users, the computers or the server.   It hangs on log in, updating ledgers, running reports.  

    I have done some basic housekeeping, to check we were not near the max number customers, suppliers etc (nowhere near).  The PCs are up to date and exceed min requirements.  The demo data runs quick enough.  Our external IT say it is Sage.  Sage suggest its our IT!!!!  Sage man was really attentive and tried his best but he couldn't provide an answer except to try switching the data to the cloud.

    So frustrated that I may go Xero.

    It’s a known issue and is fixed in v28.1 due out in a couple of weeks time.
