Although the behavior is different from v28.0 and previous versions, the software is now correctly handling the error and failing the full import. We shouldn't import anything if there are errors in the spreadsheet.

I'll pass this on as feedback to the team for you.

As a workaround, apply a filter to your spreadsheet to show 0.00 value lines and you can delete them all in one go.

The 0 value lines are not "errors" but rather not applicable to that particular journal on this occasion. You say previous versions - I have been using this method of journal importing for 15 years and it has been the same throughout this time.

For an import to be successful it must have no validation errors in the spreadsheet otherwise it should fail rather than partially import.

I can appreciate for the past 15 years it has been doing partial imports when detecting these zero value lines. From v28.1 it only imports when the full import is successful.

This may be addressed in future updates as I’ve logged it as a change of behaviour but want to set your expectations that there is a high chance it may not be.
