This is not something I've been able to replicate. would you be willing to share a copy of your layout to see if it can be replicated using that?

FYI - I've just tried running the WM layout on my invoices and came up with a GDI+ error when trying to send several invoices to PDF. Got the same error as above when exporting one invoice to PDF.  Interestingly it's the bottom of the invoice where it fails

Thanks for the reply. Yeah we get that error too in the same place.

The other thing to note is that our invoice layouts are only around 583Kb whereas the Phoenix one is 3067Kb - some 5.5 times bigger

If you look at the layout size it's fairly large, nearly 4000kb

Most of the standard Sage layouts are less than 150kb

I'll let Darron advise but imagine this is the reason the out-of-memory message is happening.

Would the size of the graphics make a big difference Ian ?

Thanks for the responses I have another template that I tested removing the images from and it didn't decrease the file size of the report. I have compressed the images as mentioned in the original post but it still seems to be in the MB large file size for the reports.

Any advice on how to reduce the file size of the Reports? I have already delated and readded the images but it didn't have any effect on the overall reports file size

What I've noticed over time is that layouts seem to have a memory. If you add an image and save the layout then remove the image, the layout doesn't always reduce back to the original size.

This is what I suspect may have happened here. This is why we're now getting out of memory.

I think the layout will need designing again but i'll let Darron confirm.

It could do, especially given the nature of the error. can. I'm still attempting to replicate but I did notice that the embedded image is quite large. It's 1795 x 1329 with a DPI of 96 this results in a print size of 18.7 x 13.84 inches. However it is scaled in the layout to a much smaller size - 0.8187 x 1.1057 inches. Resizing the image could help. The image in the footer is even larger at 4546 x 2938 pixel at 96 DPI equating to a print size of 47.36 x 30.61 inches but the image is again scaled to a much smaller size in the layout 1.1235 x 0.7261 inches. Reducing the size of this image will definitely help too
