Cannot enter date properly

SOLVED

When I input the date (on supplier invoices, bank transactions, all screens) the screen flickers and "jumps" and then the date doesn't overtype the way it used to. Very hard to describe but I keep having to go back to the date, delete the current date and enter again. This has been happening over the last two weeks or so. Has anyone else had this problem or is it likely to be my PC?

    Could you record a video on your phone of the problem and upload it so we could see the issue?

    Here's a video of the issue (which actually isn't quite as bad today weirdly). The first bit shows when I tab over to the date then overtype. The second bit was trying to show the flickering but its not shown it very well.

    If you try a bank payment, is the date broken there too?

    and secondly, if you close the app and go straight back to journal entry, is it fixed?

    Yes the date is the same on all screens, bank, supplier invoice entry (which is where I notice it most probably because I'm entering alot of transactions at speed!). When I first started work today I thought it had stopped doing it, but then it seems to get worse the longer I'm logged in. I have just closed Sage, reopened it and it was fine for about the first ten transactions, then it started again.

    No problem.

    I suspected a restart of the app would fix it, at least temporarily and when it happens it will break all the grid style screens in Sage.

    Have you tried reinstall v28.1 yet?

    Yes already on v28.1......maybe that's when it started, was the update in the last couple of weeks?

    At least I can close and open Sage and get rid of the problem for a while, it was slowing down big batches of data entry!

    If you have time, I’d be interested to see if reinstalling v28.1 fixes the problem, you would need to uninstall it and then reinstall it again.

    Restarting the app will get rid of the problem but not ideal.

    I have seen this issue in a test version around 4 years ago, it never got released as it was during the development stage, and we fixed the problem so it’s strange you’re seeing similar behaviour. I’ve not yet heard anyone else report it so far. Hoping a reinstall fixes it for you.
