Journal dates being amended in the background

Question

I have noticed that if you are using file maintenance to amend a journal (even if it is just the details) and the normal journal entry screen is open in the background, then amended journal will also amend the date of its posting to the date of the background journal screen (normally the current date). This is even if you have not specified a change in the journal date. 
 
 Any one else have this problem?

Thanks for using Sage City.

I've tested this in my software and I can recreate the the same result you've described. I went to Transactions > Edit rather than File > Maintenance but the result was the same. I've referred this for further investigation.

Naturally, for now, the workaround is to ensure any windows in the background are closed before editing transactions.
