Local user on a laptop wants to use that laptop at home to access Sage. Is it possible to do ?

This is a Remote Data access type question. 
 The user has Sage installed on the laptop and logs on to Sage via the local network whilst in the office. 
 When they have to work from home sometimes, they would like to be able to access our Sage data remotely. 
 Our only experience of home working was to create Remote User Logins , install copies of Sage onto desktop PCs at the respective homes, then do the Download Remote Data as per the instructions here and off we went. 
 Would they too have to install a copy of Sage on to their home desktop PC to achieve this ?

Hi Ken,

That article would still apply but the user would need to set up a second company on the laptop installation. One company would be for home working to connect remotely and the other company would be to connect in the office on the local network. They'd need to make sure they had a multi company licence and the right number of users and they would need to be careful to open the right company depending upon their location.

If you are running Sage locally on a Windows Server, you can deploy any program installed in the server using RemoteApp - You'll need install the RDP services and publish the app over RDP. It works perfectly and have been using it since 2012.
