EIR is now 64 bit compatible with Sage 50 Accounts.

You can either continue to use 32 bit Office and 64 bit accounts or you can upgrade excel to match accounts 'bitness'

Hi Ian,

Have upgraded to V30 64-bit, but the ability to connect to the database has gone.

Can log into Sage itself with no issues but EIR is no longer working

Also then upgraded my Office to 64-bit, but the 'Sage' tab has disappeared.   I use the one with the Excel functions in for Sage, not the 'Sage 50 Accounts' - but even though the 'Sage 50 Accounts' tab is appearing, it isn't now connecting to the database!

Thinking of downgrading my Office to 32-bit and see what happens there.

The "Excel functions" addin is legacy and will only work with the 32 bit version of Excel I'm afraid

Ahh that's a shame, thank you.  Have been able to sort something out now by using ODBC connection
