I cannot submit my VAT return through MTD

SUGGESTED

I have signed up for MTD with HMRC and been accepted. I have reconciled my VAT return and clicked submit online.  I get the sign in icon appear in the top left hand corner but the HMRC sign in page does not come up and I cant get any further.

I have checked the company setting and preferences and all seems o.k.  Rang HMRC and they said it was a problem with the sage software not communicating with HMRC software.

Please help.

    Sounds like the error I got yesterday but mine cleared when I logged out of Sage back in again. Sorry it's not working for you. When I logged back in there was a lot of processing going on in the background and it seemed to need to reset itself before letting me back in.

    When I ran my first MTD return in January the security settings on my PC needed changing before I could connect so if you're on a network it's worth trying on a different PC.

    Presumably you have ticked the MTD box in Settings?

    When you do get through, watch out for the HMRC screen that tells you to log in to Government Gateway. It reads as though you have to do that separately but there's a Continue button at the bottom that was completely hidden on my screen and caused no end of grief.
