Sage 50 V24 and connecting to HMRC for VAT MTD

Been using this software for a good while, but I am getting somewhat irritated by the inconsistency of the connection,(or lack of it)

The majority of the times it fails to connect to HMRC and  yet other times it does.

So where is the problem and where is the solution? others have said the HMRC does not have an issue, cue is it Sage?

Looking for hints and tips to ensure a much smoother and straightforward experience as we have been promised.

    We're not currently aware of any connection problems with MTD. Can you please provide the full error message you're getting?

    Hi Ian,

    Well there certainly is a problem.

    So you do your VAT return

    Reconcile

    Hit Submit online

    First HMRC dialogue box no problem

    Second dialogue box with VAT number business name no problem

    Third dialogue box where you put in Registration number and password problem. It does not show any text or instructions just a blank screen. Go back and prompt again same response hopeless waste of time.

    I did get it to go through today eventually by coming out of Sage and logging back in again.  It really should just do it without having to log out of Sage and back in again.

    Thanks for the reply. We're aware this is happening for some of our customers. The current work around is to restart the program which will resolve the issue however we've put in a fix to stop this happening for v26.
