Sage 50 Accounts

I've seen a recurring issue on several installations of Sage 50c v25 and v26, where the program will close to desktop if you try to access the Tools > Options screen. Has anyone else seen this issue or managed to find a fix for it?

I know I am probably late to the party on this point, I am running Sage 50 accounts and have to go MTD does this mean I have to purchase Sage 50Cloud version on top of my existing sage 50 subs ? ?
