Bank Feeds Issue

SOLVED

The feeds are connected to Nat West Bankline and for another company Nat West Online Banking.

The last download was on the 16.02.24 and I rang support yesterday to be told that no data had come across to you since then because the banks have not sent any data across to you.

I have bank transactions from the 17th which have not pulled down and I find it most odd that a bank does and does not send data on a daily basis.

I am now five days without any data.

    Hi TG44,

    Thanks for using Community Hub.

    I'd recommend first opening Bank Feeds and clicking 'Download', it may ask you to enter your credentials, if it does, then check the feed again to see if it's refreshed.

    If you aren't prompted to re-enter your credentials, then follow the steps in this article: 'The sync did not complete successfully' > whilst you aren't seeing this message specifically, the steps can resolve such issues.

    If you're still experiencing problems after this, then I recommend a further call to support and advise them of the steps taken so far to attempt to resolve this.

    Hi,

    Have you solved this issue? Because I have the same issue and my data stopped from 8th Feb and unable to download the data from Natwest Bankline. When I called Sage they said that I need to give 3rd party permission for them to access Natwest Data. But when I called Natwest they said there is no such thing. So I am doing manual entries to sage and unable to solve this issue.

    Hi,

    Yes, all resolved.

    Where it becomes frustrating is that Sage told me that they get passed bank data from the banks and if the banks do not submit the data to them, then there will be no data available for the likes of me and you to pull down into our software.

    I find it most odd that a bank should not pass data to Sage but there we have it.

    I was told by Sage to wait five days and if nothing happened to give then a call. Nothing happened and I was told to wait again. As none of this made any sense, I disconnected, reconnected and all data pulled down. From my perspective, I just waited five days for no good reason.

    If you have already made this work, specifically with Bankline, you must have the relevant role setup within Bankline, so you may therefore like to consider disconnecting the feed and trying again.

    Thank you for your reply. I am glad to hear that your problem was resolved and mine too. Regarding the downloading or importing of bank statements to Sage from April, this should help us move towards AI.

    I see this is resolved but just adding a comment in case it helps others.

    We use NatWest Bankline and it updates daily. We had a problem initially because NatWest said it couldn't link to Sage but they were wrong and an old post on this forum got it sorted for me.

    The only time it stopped working was when the person who originally gave permission left the company and her NatWest access was revoked.  We then went through the same steps as before with the another Bankline user and it's been working since.

    Here's the relevant part of the original post:

    Go into;
    Administration > Manage roles.
    Click into the role account operator.
    Change the name of the role to Sage.
    Then using the drop down menu at the bottom can you change that from Administration to Third Party Provider Consents and click save & go.
    Then tick all privileges on this page, including the acknowledgement and press
    continue.
    Then tick accounts and continue again.
    Then confirm.
    Then apply this to yourself by going into;
    Administration > Manage Users > Click into your user ID> Scroll down to edit roles/smartcards > Tick the role Sage.
    Continue and confrim

    I agree this is exactly what needs to be done.
