Not Planned

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your idea to improve Sage 50cloud Accounts, or to comment on another user’s idea.

Sage are currently reviewing all of the ideas from our customers with the view to include those that have gained the most votes in a future release.

Unfortunately, since posting your wish it has not gained enough support from other members for it to be considered for inclusion in a future release.

To see what we currently have planned, please take a look at all the ideas with the status of Currently ‘Coming soon’.

BOM - An option for Automatic Product Creation from the BOM - for non-stock items.

An option where the BOM data can be used to Automatically build sale items if stock reaches zero when allocated, if the checkbox is ticked etc.

Example;

We sell a tool - 1" Stone Chisel - 8 in Stock

This is made from;

  • a Chisel Blank (CB1) from Supplier A            300 in Stock - Reorder Point 500 - Order Volume 1000
  • a Tip (CT1) from supplier B                              101 in stock - Reorder Point 100 - Order Volume 100
  • 10g brass rod (CBR1) from supplier C          1kg inStock  -  Reorder Point 2kg - Order Volume 5kg
  • and some paint (PAINT1) from supplier D.    (manually re-ordered)

When we allocate  50x 1" Stone Chisel on an order, It would be great if it could take 50qty from each of these items, and then use the BOM data on those products to generate Purchase Orders, from the relevant suppliers. In this case;

  • Blanks are already on order (previously below minimum stock level)
  • TIps will be ordered on allocation of this order (as now dropped below 100)
  • plenty of Brass Left
  • Paint is checked manually.

This would make it much easier for controlling stock of parts, rather than having to convert parts to either stock on a shelf which might be slow moving, and then can't be used for other tools (i.e. the blanks, brass and tips are all used in other products). keeping minimal stocks adn optimum flexibility is key, so we need a system that can work with that.

You could also then include a 'Quick Build' button, to process a number of parts into finished stock, if you have actually overproduced for an order, or produced stock when quiet.
