I'm not talking about the date range within reporting here which I know can be changed.

It would be really helpful to be able to change the program default settings when looking at Activity pages (Suppliers / Customers / Nominal Code / Bank / Communication etc).

The default date range that appears is 01/01/1980 - 31/12/2099. For some of our older and more active accounts this results in a huge amount of data being returned.

Yes, I know we can narrow this down by entering custom dates but the data still has to load in the first place. It would make life a lot easier if we could narrow down the default date range to start with.
