Thank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your idea to improve Sage 50cloud Accounts, or to comment on another user’s idea.

Sage are currently reviewing all of the ideas from our customers with the view to include those that have gained the most votes in a future release.

Unfortunately, since posting your wish it has not gained enough support from other members for it to be considered for inclusion in a future release.

Derive last cost from BoM (Bill of materials)

This would be handy on a per product basis and/or a global setting

It's one of my frustrations with Sage is that the usability between stock functions (back end) and sales functions (front end) are not integrated very well.  So stock pick and build lists are covered with the entry level BoM features but if you have component cost changes you have to manually run report to tell you the new total to then add to the customer facing top level part number.

This massively undermines the BoM functionality as a whole as the final sales price pipeline should be as automated as possible, which for the most part it is as we generate sales prices as a mark up of total cost but this one oversight means unnecessary human intervention.
