Hi,
We have upgraded to Sage 50 Cloud Accounts and also upgraded our internal Email (Exchange) server - unfortunately at the same time - and can't find out which caused the incompatibility, however we can no longer create e-mails from our reports and save them to our mailboxes to amend and send at a later time.
The options from support were to:
-> enable cached mode on our mailboxes (unable to do this due to space limitations, users run on a terminal RDS environment)
-> send e-mails immediately (no ability to amend before sending)
-> send via SMTP (no ability to amend, nor have visibility in sent folders)
I believe our setup doesn't work due to a 'Mail Provider' limitation within Sage. - The mail provider (Microsoft Outlook) i believe requires the cache to save to locally and then the e-mail sync to the server takes care of the rest...
We use a piece of software called Spindle Tools to do the bulk e-mail sending which provides the same functionality with 'E-mail Devices' - it has one for Outlook 2000-2016, but also Exchange 2007-2016. This works, and i believe this may not have a reliance on the mailbox cache but rather integrates with the mailbox on the server? - either directly or perhaps via the client (i don't know)
As part of the Accounts' team's processes, they often amend the pre-formatted e-mails with notes and dialogue specific to the customers so require the ability to amend the e-mails before pushing send. - Is it possible to provide this same functionality please that's available within Spindle with an exchange specific Mail Provider?
