I note per the Sage 50 Accounts Roadmap that the improvements 'delivered' page (https://my.sage.co.uk/public/help.aspx#/roadmap/sage-50-accounts/timeline) states that improvements have been delivered (August 2019 - V26) with reference to MTD token storage for Accountants (https://ask.sage.co.uk/scripts/ask.cfg/php.exe/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=45460&p_pv=0).

However, I also note that the improvement only allows the storage of MTD VAT credentials where an Agent is submitting a client's VAT returns through Sage 50Cloud Accounts Client Manager software. At present it would appear that the Sage 50Cloud Accounts cannot be authenticated for the required 18 months (as advertised by HMRC in the run up to the introduction of MTDfV), where either;

       1) The Agent has signed the client up for MTDfV, agent authenticates the software but the client submits their own VAT return

       2) The client has signed themselves up for MTDfV, client authenticates the software and the client submits their own VAT return

We currently have a number of clients who requested assistance in signing up for MTDfV but wished to retain autonomy for their (monthly) VAT return submissions. We subsequently signed the clients up for MTDfV using our ASA. However due to the current software constraints they are having to request for us (as agent) to authenticate the software every month, which they are understandably frustrated with.

Please can you advise if there are any plans/scope in the future to enable Sage 50 Cloud Accounts to retain MTD token storage in either of the above 2 scenarios?
