Pop-ups to alert already logged in users when Database Errors occur

Currently, users that are already logged into Sage, are not alerted by any kind of pop-up to notify them when Errors have occurred in the Sage Database. It is only when another user happens to log into Sage after the Errors have occurred, that a pop-up appears notifying that particular user that Errors have occurred. This means that users could have been working away in Sage after Errors have occurred without knowing, which is a huge inconvenience if said Errors cannot be repaired, as all Data since the last valid Backup then has to be re-input into Sage after a restore to the last valid Backup has been performed. It would be nice to see a change implemented that means Sage would pop-up with an alert to notify users that are already logged into Sage, that Errors have occurred in the Sage Database.

  • I think you're right. But then in that case, that element of Sage needs re-designing in my opinion, to better detect Errors in the Database as and when they occur, otherwise it just leaves cause for a larger potential Data loss, which causes a larger set of Data to be re-imported manually.

  • I think the issue is that the errors are only picked up when a file maintenance check is run, either automatically or manually, so Sage might not pick up an error for a while after it's happened (depending on how often you check your data).

I agree that it could notify logged in users once an error is picked up though.
