Question Answer
Is it possible to add a new starter whilst you are entering payments?  No, you would need to add the employee before you access Enter Payments. You can of course run through entering payments for everyone else then add the employee and go back into enter payments as long as you dont update records.
Can you enter absences after you have entered your payments and will this update automatically? If you enter the absence before you update records, you can go back into Enter Payments or Pre-update reports and the statutory payment should then be calculated. If you've already updated records, you can still enter absence details but the statutory payment will be paid in the next pay run.
What actions do we need to consider once we have moved an existing payroll into SAGE part way through the tax year? In terms of processing there would be no need to do much different, the only thing to be aware of would be to check the employees' year to date figures have been entered correctly. You can check in the employee record > employment tab > YTD values. As long as the YTD values are correct then the employees pay will process as it would normally for the next period.
Can we run a test payroll and submit a dummy FPS? No, a Dummy FPS is for specific scenarios and by submitting one the software will behave as though you have sent a real FPS, which would then prevent you from submitting the actual FPS.
Can the Summary report go to csv or excel? Yes, you can run this report to excel, in the reports window once you highlight the summary you can select "Report to Excel" in the option across the top of the window.
Are historic webinars available? Yes an article listing the recordings is available: Webinar recordings
How do you add the process flow chart to your  Payroll home screen?  In the top right of the Sage payroll desktop there' s an option to Change view, you can click on this and select company process.
