E-mail P60 is not working. It keeps sticking at step 5.

Question

Each time I try to e-mail out the P60s the process sticks at step 5 and I have to crash out of sage payroll. Is there any way to fix this or will I have to order stationery and print them? I've been successfullye-mailing out payslips since October.

Hi Chiedza,

If you close out of payroll and the email program, then open the programs as administrator - you can do this by right clicking on the payroll and email icon and choose to run as admin. Now try emailing the P60.

Should that still not work open payroll, go to reports > year end > 2016/17 > highlight the P60 email layout > select edit. Once the report designer window has opened go to Tools > options > email tab. In the default provider drop down box change it from MAPI to Microsoft outlook or Microsoft out to MAPI (depending on what is in there already). Now try to email the P60.

You don't need to click the save option. Once you have changed the default provider, click OK to close the options window then close the report. It will retain that selection. Yes, it will only email it to employees who have been setup for emailing documents in the analysis tab of their record.

It can sometimes be caused by the criteria window being hid behind the step 5 or payroll window. Try to select the Criteria window using ALT+TAB on the keyboard.
