Our laptop has been affected by a virus and we have lost all of our sage payroll data. How do we recover the data to another machine in the meantime??

Hi Linda,

For everything you need to help you transfer Sage 50 Payroll to a new computer, please refer to article 906. This article also includes details on how to backup and access your data on the new PC.

When installing onto a new computer, you should install the latest software, which you can download via our website at https://my.sage.co.uk/downloads/. The latest version of Sage 50 Payroll is currently Sage 50 Payroll for tax year 2016/2017. The file name of this is sg50payrollpye16_2200066.exe.
