Payroll has been updated but reports don't work

Hi,

We have updated our Payroll system and now when we click on the reports button at the top of the application the application closes instantly

Could someone assist?

    There are a few reasons why this can occur. To resolve this please try the following:

     

    Step 1 - Try it in Demonstration data and other companies. If it's ok in Demo data and other companies > go to step 2.

    If the problem occurs in Demo data and other companies > go to step 3.

    Step 2 - Company > Custom Reports > check for duplicates in the Description column. Change any duplicate descriptions. If there are no duplicate descriptions > go to step 3.

    Step 3 - Rename the payroll.ini file, run the program as administrator and try again.

    Step 4 - Move the data. If the data is networked, move it to a local environment then create a new company and restore the data into it.

     

    If there are problems during deletion and copying of the data then the location is the problem. For example, corrupt folders or access rights to folders. Try again in a new location.
