Do I have to wait for normal paydate to pay a leaver?

If an employee leaves towards the beginning of a month and normal paydate is towards the end of the month can I pay the leaver and give them a P45 when they leave or do I need to wait until normal payday when everyone else is paid?

Hi Wendy,

If youâ€re using Sage 50 Payroll you can process an employee as a leaver and pay them at any time during the pay period, you donâ€t have to wait until you reach your usual pay date.

If youâ€re using Sage Instant Payroll you will need to wait until you reach your usual pay date to process an employee as a leaver and pay them.
