New Starters - 29th and after payroll is ran - payment date is 31st

We have two new starters that are joining us on the 29th. Will sage payroll calculate the national insurance correctly if we don't run them on the month they started and instead gave them 1 month and 3 days in the next month?

    Thanks for using the business community.

    In your situation it would be normal to make the full month + 3 days payment in the following month.

    National insurance is calculated using the table method (CA38 handbook from HMRC), which will calculate on the full amount, based on the monthly thresholds.

    As all of the monies are being paid in 1 transaction, it is correct to combine them for the calculation.
