You can have unlimited employees on Sage 50cloud Payroll, depending on what you’re licensed for. To check your licence information in your software, open Help > About > in the Licence Information section > check the number next to Max companies allowed.

If you’re licenced for more than 50 employees, you can set up a new employee record.

If you’re licenced for 50 employees, check that the Serial Number and Activation Key in the same Licence Information section are correct with what we have for you on our website.

If your Serial Number and Activation Key are incorrect in your software, you can change these in Tools > Upgrade Program.

If the Serial Number and Activation Key in your software are correct and you want to increase your number of employees, you’ll need to upgrade your employee licence. To do this you can contact our Sales team on 0800 33 66 33.
