If there was a lockdown forcing our business to close during October, am I right in assuming that any new employees taken on over the summer wouldn't be eligible for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme? The new extended Job Support Scheme wouldn't apply until November. That means that we wouldn't have any support to cover new employees' pay.
