Sage 50 Payroll won't open.

Question

Sage 50 payroll crashed when exporting a report to email. When I go to login nwe I get Now get the message "Microsoft Edge can't read and write to its data directory: C\Program Files (X86) Sage Payroll\ SBDDesktop.exe.Webview2\EBWebview and the program will not open. 
 Any ideas on how to resolve this? Restarting the PC hasn't helped. Not sure what to try

Resoved it after a search in Help by following all steps in this link: 
 My reCaptcha window is blank (sage.com)

This issue can manifest itself in several different ways, but the steps in this article can help to resolve it > in addition to those steps, you should also check that the program folder itself has full permissions.
