Is there any way to change the online document settings, I have a client who uses Sage HR, but I have been unable to send new starters their payslips online

    Just for some initial context, when it comes to Sage 50 Payroll there are two online payslips portals:

    • Sage HR Online Services - This is used by Sage 50 Payroll customers who do their own payroll and upload payslips themselves
    • Online Bureau - This is known as Sage Employee Online Services to employee users. This is used by Accountant users of Sage 50 Payroll who process payroll for clients and upload payslips to their client's employees

    If you have a client that uses Sage HR, it sounds like they previously did their own payroll, set up their online payslips portal, but have now outsourced their payroll to you? 

    You can't upload payslips to their Sage HR company from your Accountant version of Sage 50 Payroll, as their Sage HR company is linked to their own Sage 50 Payroll software. If they want to access payslips uploaded by you, you will need to set up a new Online Bureau (Sage Employee Online Services) company via your payroll software for them going forward. This is where they will access their online payslips uploaded by you.

    They will still have access to log in to Sage HR to access their previous payslips, and if they use HR modules, to process time off requests etc. They will just need to be aware that they will now have a new portal at www.sagepayrollservices.com that they log into to view their new payslips.

    If your client wants to de-link their Sage HR company from Sage 50 Payroll, I would advise them to contact Sage HR support.
